God's Love

Halleluyah to the most High God that reign from eternity past to eternity future. Jehovah is His name. Its great coming your path again today, to share God’s word with you, I believe the last week was a great one. One thing is sure, which is that this new week will be far better than the last week in Jesus name.

Today we shall be considering the above named topic known as “God’s love”. A deep insight into God’s love towards us makes the total difference in whatever we do and the manner we perceive ourselves. God’s love towards us is unconditional and unfailing. It is not dependent on what we have done right or wrong.

Infact, the love of God towards us is great and cannot cease. Even to the sinners, God’s love still flows towards them for He (God) loves the sinners but hates the sin in them. It is basically because of His unfailing loves that make Him never to give up on any individual or person. Until a person dies His love toward him still go out for him at all times. This love cannot be fathom or explained by human wisdom.

1 John 3:1 reads, Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” Indeed it’s a great love bestowed on us. Greater than what we can think of. So great a love that will make a man lay down His life down for his friend who is guilty of offences. For scarcely will a man want to die for an innocent person, how much more when an innocent person die for a guilty offended. John 15: 13 read, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends”.

Beloved do you know that Jesus being a great and loving friend laid down His life for us all? What a massive demonstration of love. He was not afraid to loose his life for you and I. 1 John 4:18 reads, There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torments. There is no fear in love. Have you ever seen a maid who is in love with a man? Though the maid may fear her parent but when the issue of love comes in with another man who probably is no approved for marriage by them. You would realize that there is nothing they can do about it. No matter the threat and abuses, it will only make her deeper in her love for the man. She may fear them in other issue however on the issue of her love for the man, it is a closed case. She will never fear them. This is because perfect love casts out fear. 1 John 3:16 reads, “By this we know love, because He laid down His life for the brethren.

This is the kind of love God displays towards us, which is the kind of love he expects of us to display one to another. 1 John 4:16 reads; And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God and God in him. It is worth knowing also that the love of God was made manifest towards us as in while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. He did not wait for us to repent from our evil ways and sinful habit before He died for us. What a deep love! For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believe in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

Love gives at all times. Love does not hold back. That is why, when two people are in a relationship of love, they always seek to out-give one another. In a situation wherein one party is giving and the other party withholds then it may not be a picture of true love.

God’s love towards us propelled Him to release His only son, Jesus Christ to die for us so that we all may become His children. The righteousness of Jesus which we possess is a function of His love toward us.

Friends, do you know God loves you. I know you might have heard it before, but I want you now to hear it with a deep understanding of what the love of God really is. He loves you so much that even if you are the only one in the world He would still come to die for you. He loves you so much that even when you miss it He is more interested in having you back first to Himself that punishing you.

He is not a task master; neither does He have any evil with Him. He does not pay evil for evil. Yes He rebukes us not because He hates us or is He interested to punish us and then takes pride in it. No far from it, He rebukes because He loves us. Rev 3:19 reads As many as I love I rebuke and chastise. Even when He rebukes, he rebukes in love.

His love has come to you today knocking at the door of your heart, He desires to come in, Rev 3:20 reads, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him and he will with Me. His love toward us is unfailingly and unconditional. Have you backslidden? Then reach out for His love, for restoration. Today salvation has come to you via His love. Are you a sinner? Then accept His love today. Receive Him into your life. God is love. Shalom!
